TROUBLE

PROBABLE CAUSE

RECOMMENDED REMEDY

(1) Conveyor stops without control depressing secondary "STOP". a. Blown fuses in transformer. a. Check and replace blown (F-1) fuses. Ascertain cause.
  b. Motor overload causing magnetic starter to trip. b. Reset magnetic overload.
(2) Excessive noise or vibration from motor or reducer. a. Loose mounting. a. [LOCK OUT UNIT.] Check motor mounting bolts for tightness. Feel if mounting plate is secure. Tighten as required.
(3) Oil leakage from a. Loose drain plug - damaged seal. a. [LOCK OUT UNIT.] Tighten drain plug or replace if threads are damaged. Disassemble gearcase to replace seals.
  b. Cracked reducer housing. b. Drain and remove gearmotor or gearcase. Install replacement unit.
  c. Unit over filled. c. Remove excess oil.
