[ALL ROLLERS ARE ACCESSIBLE FROM OUTSIDE OF UNIT. REMOVE WINDOW COVERS IF NECESSARY. NEVER TOUCH A MOVING ROLLER.]

TROUBLE

PROBABLE CAUSE

RECOMMENDED REMEDY

(1) Rollers frozen or sluggish excessive bearing wear or bent shaft. a. Dirt, corrosion, or other foreign material in bearing, excessive bearing wear or bent shaft. a. Replace with new roller if necessary.
(2) Excessive noise from roller. a. Loose mounting a. Tighten mounting. Check alignment of roller shaft to secure proper tracking of belt.
(3) Eccentric roller a. Bent shaft a. [LOCK OUT UNIT.] Remove roller and replace shaft. Carefully inspect for damage to bearings and replace as required.
  b. Loose mounting b. Tighten mounting. Check level and alignment of roller shaft to secure proper tracking of belt.
(4) Excessive wear a. Gritty material ground between belt rollers. a. [LOCK OUT UNIT.] Clean roller faces and belt by brushing and wiping.
  b. Splicing fasteners protruding b. Examine splice to confirm. Tighten or replace fasteners as necessary.
